Hey hey! It's actually awesome to hear back from a friend!
I"ve been pretty good. Schoolwork and such is bogging me down, so I don't get to spend too much time on this site a day, but i do stop by every so often. Other than that, life's been pretty good. I'm excited about the next-gen systems ps3 and wii, unfortunately, I'm totally broke, so it's going to be awhile till I get one of those systems. Though I'm realy excited about the new Zelda game - i'll probably end up getting it for the gamecube.
Anime wise - i haven't watched anything recently. I just finished up Fate/Stay Night (really good if you haven't checked it out yet) and besides that, i've just been keeping up with Bleach and Tsubasa Chronicles. Can't wait for the new Naruto to come out though.

I definately know what you mean about generic designs nowadays. i always like to be a little different than everyone else, so i think my designs reflect that. but i'm glad there are people like you who still appreciate less generic designs :)
